BRIGHT CHROME NEUTRALISER-306

Bright chrome  neutraliser - 306 offers  a simple method for  removing the  chrome  solution carried over on plated components  as  they  are transferred  from the drag-out tank after chrome plating. In  use,  it not only neutralises any free acid remaining  upon the surface of  the chrome plated articles, but also chemically reduces the residual chrome to easily removable and washable green trivalent chrome.

The  bright chrome neutraliser-306 can also be used, very  effectively on  automatic nickel and chrome plating plant for the removal  of  any chromic acid  entrapped in jigs, thus preventing chromic contamination of the cleaning lines.

 Working Instructions

Concentration

10gms/ltr of bright chrome neutraliser - 306 initially & 3 gm/ltr  twice  daily or as per  the need. Make fresh every week.

Preparation

fill up the tank   with water up to two  third of   its capacity.dissolve the neutraliser 306 in  required proportion, in warm  water  and when  completely dissolved pour it into the tank adjust the working level.

Tank

mild steel, or hdp plastics.

Operation

plated  components from  the  drag-out  tank after  chromium plating  are simply immersed  into   the  bright chrome neutraliser -306 solution for  20  -  60     seconds   at   room temperature. The components   are   finally well rinsed     in  cold     running  water  and  then   put    through   hot  water to facilitate drying.

Sequence of operation   : the following process sequence is advised :

              a) bright chromium plate

b) drag -out

c) bright chrome neutraliser-306 dip

d) running water swill

e) hot water swill

        f) dry out.

Maintenance  :

To  maintain the  effectiveness of  the  dip regular additions to the extent  of 3 gm/ltr of  the neutraliser-306   are  made   twice  daily.  These additions are preferably  made at   the  beginning   of  the morning   and afternoon shifts.make fresh every week.
